Fundraising is a necessary part of youth sports today, and an expected part of WBLAX. As you would imagine, a significant amount of the overall costs for each player’s participation are covered through registration fees each season. Fundraising is there to help subsidize some of the other costs incurred throughout the season. General maintenance of the lacrosse fields and equipment absorbs a great deal of these costs. Items such as field paint, goals, nets, lacrosse balls, score table supplies, etc. are all vital to the success of our lacrosse teams and your fundraising helps make it possible to purchase these items.

WBLAX understands that there may be instances when people don’t feel comfortable fundraising or “selling” the items we use during our fundraisers. If that is the case, you are welcome to take advantage of our “opt-out” option for fundraising by simply paying a nominal fee rather than completing the fundraising. That fee will be available and listed at the time of your athletes registration.

Each player must raise at least $350 per player or  $700 per family with 2+ players. This is combined between the Winter and Spring Gertens Fundraisers. If a family wishes to opt out of the fundraising, they may pay $125/ player ($350/family with 2+ players).

In addition, we are actively seeking sponsors for our association. Last year, we had more than 20 sponsors! These businesses gain exposure and build awareness with their business name, address, and logo featured prominently on our website, sponsor t-shirts, roster booklets, and mentions on social media. If your business or employer is interested in sponsoring White Bear Lacrosse, please alert a WBLAX board member, or learn more on our sponsorship page. The more sponsors we can sign on, the less fundraising we’ll have to do!
