Boys Lacrosse Registration Information


Important Dates for Boys Outdoor Lacrosse

Note to all age groups! Once games start to be played, teams will not meet more than 3 times per week. Either two games and one practice, or two practices and one game. Weekends will try to be avoided as much as possible, but sometimes Sunday practices are needed until school gets out of session.

U8

  • June 24/25 Prior Lake Tournament
  • July 22/23 State   No information yet.
  • Start practices in May. Twice a week, TBD.  
  • Games: They are not doing double headers for U8 as we thought in the spring. Here is what we are asking for, but the dates are not guaranteed: Looking for 3 games. One each weekend on May 13, May 20/21, and June 3/4. Then we will play 6 more games between June 12th and July 20th.

U10

  • June 10/11 - Bait Bucket in Bloomington
  • July 22/23 - State  No information yet. 
  • Practices will start in May. Twice a week, TBD. 
  • Games: Here is what we asked for, but the dates are not guaranteed for spring games:  Looking for 4 games of double headers on weekends of May 20/21 and June 3/4.  Then we will play 10 more games between June 12th and July 20th.

U12

  • June 10/11 - Bait Bucket in Bloomington   
  • July 14,15,16 - Woodbury Black and Blue   
  • July 29/30 - State    No information yet. 
  • Practices start with tryouts on April 11th and 13th. Then teams will practice twice a week, TBD by coaches. 
  • Games: Here is what we are asking for, but the dates are not guaranteed for spring games:  Looking for 10 games of double headers on weekends of April 29/30, May 6/7, May 13, May 20/21, and June 3/4. Then we will play 10 more games between June 12th and July 20th.

U14

  • June 10/11 - Bait Bucket in Bloomington   Both A and B teams.
  • June 24/25 - Prior Lake   This is for the A team only.
  • July 14,15,16 - Woodbury Black and Blue   This is for B teams only.
  • July 29/30 - State    No information yet. Both A and B teams.

Boys Spring/Summer Teams Fees

Minnesota categorizes boys lacrosse by age. Find registration fees listed in the chart below. Plus another $30 for games shorts, this is a mandatory fee if you do not have them yet .

U8 = $255, spring and summer - 10 games

U10 = $275, spring and summer - 12 games

U12 = $345, spring and summer - 20 games

U14 = $345, spring and summer - 20 games

***Please note*** The pizza fundraiser is now complete, so anyone registering at this time will need to pay the $75 buyout at registration prior to practicing/playing.


This is Traveling Lacrosse

Boys will play in the Youth Lacrosse Minnesota (YLM) League for summer lacrosse and the Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) for spring.


Boys Uniform. Uniform jerseys are provided (and collected back at end of season). Everyone keeps shorts. If your player needs new shorts, you can order at registration.

  • Tryouts are done for the 2017 season. 

Age Levels for Boys

Levels for 2017 are as follows:

  • U8: Born 9/1/2008 through 8/31/2010
  • U10: Born 9/1/2006 through 8/31/2008
  • U12: Born 9/1/2004 through 8/31/2006
  • U14: Born 6/1/2002 through 8/31/2004 (Note the chart below is slightly inaccurate as Minnesota has lowered U14 down to June 1st, 2002)

REFUND POLICY

WBLAX will issue a 100% refund on requests made prior to registration closing (minus Sport NGIN processing fee). Officially registration has closed for the 2017 season.  75% refund between the time that registration closes and practices start, and NO refund once practices start.  WBLAX will issue refund requests for injuries and special circumstances - on a case by case basis once games have started.
