Spring Boys Youth Box Lacrosse
| The Box league is hosted by the Minnesota SWARM. The Box League is divided into three age divisions (3/4th, 5/6th, and 7/8th grade) with teams competing in all areas around the Twin Cities. Regular season will run from early March through the middle of May, 2011. There are 5 “runners” and a goalie on the field for each team during play compared to 10 during the outdoor leagues. Box Lacrosse is played on a hockey rink with a turf floor. Games are an hour with 4, 12-min quarters. Most games will be played on Sundays. Practices are up to the coaches discretion, but generally are infrequent once games begin. Normal outdoor gear requirements apply with the only difference being the goalie wears more protective gear. Summer Boys Youth Field Lacrosse
A summer league hosed by the Youth Lacrosse of Minnesota (YLM) is put on for 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 grades. Games and practices are typically played on Tuesday and Thursday. Travel to all parts of the metro area is likely. All games are played outdoors in a 10 vs. 10 format. Season runs from early June thru end of July. A playoff and state tournament will follow the regular season.
