With the 2012 MBSLA/YBL/YLM Seasons quickly approaching we are faced with an over whelming need for volunteers, not just on the Board of Directors, but at each level of play.
As an Association that is still growing, we need the support and assistance of our WBLAX Families in order to improve, expand, and evolve with each changing season in White Bear Lake.
The New Year will bring the need for Parent Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, Tournament Committee Members, and Special Event Volunteers.
If you are interested in more information on how you can get involved in the White Bear Lacrosse Association, please contact any of the WBLAX Board Members for more information on how you can help.
Without the support of the community and WBLAX Families we could not be here.
We sincerely thank you for that support and hope to continue in a positive direction as we eagerly look to the new 2012 season of lacrosse.
Our Best,
WBLAX Board of Directors
Fundraising and Sponsorship- A creative person is needed to help coordinate programs aimed to generate revenues for the association that can in turn be used to help keep costs down and fund programs for the kids.
Coach and assistant coaches- We are looking for parents and past players interested in coaching opportunities. Please contact the Boys Youth Director if interested. See the Board section for contactinformation.
Team Manager- This role can be shared with another parent. This role works closely with the coach(s) to administer and communicate practice, games, and tournament events.
Please contact a member from our board if you are interested.
If these options don't interest you, don't worry we have many other ways to help. Please contact a board member to get involved.
Thank you.
This year the WBLAX is looking for parents to volunteer to fill the role of Parent Coach.
This new year, each team will have one head coach, one assistant coach, a team manager and one parent coach.
Each position has a role to play in the success of the team and the league itself.
What we are looking for now going into the season are parents who want to be the Parent Coach. A Parent Coaches value lies in the over all care of the players themselves. Ensuring the fairness of the game, the safety of players and basic side line assistance. The Parent Coach is not there to coach the players but be a helpful hand and support system to the coaching staff and the players above all else.
As the grading sessions move closer, there will be more information coming out to you in regards to the specifics of this role and what can be expected when it comes to committment throughout the season.
If you have questions, please contact us.
Thank you!
